Temperature & Relative Humidity
Validation of the accuracy, uniformity, and stability of temperature and relative humidity within the laboratory are critical to several components throughout laboratory testing. Fluctuations in the temperature and/or relative humidity in the laboratory environment can impact the reproducibility in sample preparation and instrument performance.
Air Handling
Microbiological testing requires a controlled environment. Bacteria and particulates can influence final microbiological sample results. Not only do proper sterilization procedures need to be in place, but the air space in the microbiological environment must meet air flow and particulate requirements to mitigate the potential for cross contamination.
Process Certification
Once the facility certification has been met, processes within the facility can be certified.
Clean Environment
When samples enter the laboratory for cannabis product testing, they’re exposed to different instruments, utensils, and glassware throughout the testing. Residue from samples can remain within the glassware and carry over into the next sample that comes in contact with the glassware if not cleaned properly, thereby influencing the results. To resolve this potential issue, each executed glassware washer cycle and load pattern is certified. Only the certified cycles using certified load patterns are used.
Sample Chain of Custody
Our proprietary database used to process samples and calculate results has been certified to ensure accuracy. Every data input, every calculation, every reported result, every transaction from input of the sample and customer information to the reported result is challenged through a rigorous certification to ensure the integrity of the data from start to finish.
We are mandated by the OMMA of Oklahoma to have a clear chain of custody of the samples documentation from pick-up to dissemination of the results to you and we are using the best software made to help us do that with great accuracy and speed!
Transport Certification
Did the product get from Point A to Point B safely, securely, and without compromising the integrity of the product? Transportation of cannabis products using certified procedures ensures the product isn’t negatively impacted and preserves the efficacy of the products.
Samples are transported using a proprietary transportation system capable of holding temperatures below 8°C for the period from the time it leaves the customer site to the time it arrive at PureLabs site in a secure container. Once at our facility, samples are processed into our validated database and placed into our certified refrigerators for storage until testing is executed.
