Analytical Chemist

JOB TYPE: Full Time

PAY RATE: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience

PureLabs OKC will be the leader in quality assurance and regulatory compliance testing in Oklahoma . We are a rapidly growing analytical laboratory that performs a variety of assays for this rapidly growing sector. Our state-of-the-art lab is located in Oklahoma City.

We are seeking to add on to our collaborative team environment within our Oklahoma City laboratory, and currently have an open position for an Analytical Chemist.

Must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products.

All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:

  • Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods
  • Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by ISO/IEC 17025 and company requirements relevant to assigned duties
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work; maintain and assist others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Maintain a neat and accurate record system; keep accurate records of work performed on a daily basis
  • Routine laboratory tasks such as cleaning glassware and maintaining chemical inventory/ordering supplies as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Familiarity and proficiency with maintenance of Gas Chromatographs coupled to Mass Spectrometers (GC/MS), HPLC and ICP/MS or the analytical knowledge to learn these machines.
  • Proficient in the analysis of data produced by our analytical machines
  • GC/MS method development experience a plus
  • Experience in sample preparation for GC-MS analysis
  • Experience with pesticide residue analysis a plus
  • Experience with triple quadrupole mass spectrometers
  • Experience with headspace autosamplers a plus
  • Experience with residual solvent analysis a plus
  • Experience with microbial testing analysis a plus
  • Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Proficient in the use of basic laboratory hardware such as balances, syringes, and pipettes
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Responsive problem solver and action oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel data manipulation

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Have earned a master’s or bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental or related science from an accredited college or university 
  • coursework in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university and 2 years full-time practical experience.
Office Manager/Receptionist

JOB TYPE: Full Time

SALARY: $15-$17 per hour, depending on experience

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday from 8am-5:30pm

PureLabs OKC is a rapidly growing analytical laboratory that performs a variety of assays for this rapidly growing sector. We are seeking to add on to our collaborative team environment within our Oklahoma City laboratory, and currently have an open position for a Receptionist. This position will also be one of our company ambassadors, so there will be a heavy amount of customer service interactions. Ideal candidates will be flexible and have a team-first mentality. You must be able to display strong administrative skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use the phone system to quickly and efficiently answer/transfer calls to the appropriate personnel in order to address customer concerns
  • Work independently, proactively and adapt appropriately to changing priorities
  • Effectively communicate and absorb scientific and company product knowledge
  • Stay dynamic, multitask, and communicate to all levels, especially during busy times
  • Interact with customers face to face during sample collection and submission
  • Verification of samples and accurate completion of Sample Submission form
  • Encourage the sale of company services at every opportunity and apply exemplary customer relationship skills that promote a superior company image
  • Receive deliveries and prepare packages for shipping

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have experience handling a large daily call volume
  • Must have reliable transportation and proof of car insurance (may be occasional client pick-up needed)
  • Previous experience in the cannabis industry is desired but not necessary, however, you must be comfortable working in a cannabis environment and handling cannabis products

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of dedicated work experience in a customer service role
Marketing Representative

Full Time – Salary from $36,000 to $48,000 + commissions depending on experience

The primary role of this position is ensuring sales performance of our flagship brand. Activities include cultivating new and existing relationships, completing sales, tracking sales performance over time and gathering feedback.

You will be the first point of contact for client engagement (the face of PureLabs OKC) and therefore the customer service at this level must be exemplary; this person must represent the brand in a positive and professional light.

This position requires someone who is laser focused and highly motivated to become a part of an exclusive team of pioneers in the Oklahoma cannabis industry.

 Responsibilities:

  • Travel around our market territory and introduce yourself to growers, extract and edible producers as the PureLabs OKC sales and marketing representative there to HELP. We are there to “Grow Together”!
  • Exceed assigned revenue quota on a weekly basis
  • Drive revenue and market share in our defined territory to meet or exceed monthly revenue targets
  • Close new business and increase revenue from existing clients
  • Planning and organizing daily work schedule to visit or call on customers and potential business development opportunities
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new services, marketing strategies and merchandising techniques
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Maintain expert industry knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Participate in evening and weekend promotions and assist with special events as needed
  • Complete daily account visit reports, monthly expense reports and other surveys and reports as required.
  • Travel within your designated territory (must have a car, insurance, and willing to travel often)

Lab Director (PHD) - CLOSED

PureLabs a pioneer in standardized testing of cannabis in Oklahoma has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Director in our Oklahoma City, OK facility. We’re looking for a smart, self-driven individual with experience running a lab, preferably one regulated by a state or federal agency. Lab Director must be familiar with all equipment being used in our lab, including:

LC/MS/MS, HPLC, GCMS, ICP/MS and qPCR

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Method development and optimization
  • Hiring and motivating PureLabs OKC lab staff
  • Maintaining analytical equipment (i.e. HPLC, GC, ICP/MS, analytical balances, autoclave, centrifuge, biological safety fume hoods, etc.)
  • Inventory management
  • Data entry
  • Final review of data
  • Generation and issuance of Certificate of Analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with laboratory policies and procedures, state regulations, and ISO-17025 quality management system
  • Client relations
  • Managing staff (i.e. assigning duties, staff training, creating schedule, performing employee reviews)

Minimum Qualifications

  • A doctorate of science or an equivalent degree in chemistry, biology, chemistry, biology, agricultural, environmental or related science.
  • Appropriate experience with HPLC, HPLC-LC/MS/MS, GC-MS,  ICP/MS and qPCR
  • Managerial experience
  • Flexibility to take on new assignments and see them through to completion
  • 2-years experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized
